I want a good, user friendly/easy to use software that I can use on my windows vista computer. I am an amataur. I bought Cake Walk music maker 3, but it was too confusin’. Any suggestions?

i would like to know if there is any music software that assists musicians in making music? In other terms, if I have the guitar but lack drums and bass and organo, is there a software that will do this for me, and all i would have to do is input the voice and guitar piece? And certainly puttingall this together as well.

guitar pro 5 is awesome. it has the new RSE (realistic sound engine). it’s pretty easy to use since it uses guitar tabs as it’s base for inputting in the notes. you do have to have some understaing of the sheet music notes as well as time signatures but it also has plenty of help files to guide you through it. i use it all of the time to do the drums and bass lines of my songs as i play the guitar along with it. as for the recording part, get this

it is a free audio editor. it one of the best and easiest to use interface for wave editing that i have ever had and its free. it can export into wav form as well as mp3. you’ll need to also install the lame encoder to convert to mp3s. if you need help on how to use audacity, let me know. i’ve used it since build 1.0 4 years ago.

I have Audacity, and although it’s nice, the effects you can add to audio is limited. There are also some other things in it that I think needs some work.

What is the best free program for making music?
