…A tribute to my … …A tribute to my hippie friend, a special person I really love…and a tribute to his favourite film “BEAUTIFUL THING”… I miss our days together!!!
I was born in 73, … I was born in 73, so I’m thinking of the 70′s when this style had made it into mainstream kids TV. The Red Hand Gang and a whole array of British kids TV where there were no adults, just kids running the show. It was a bit chaotic but felt very real. In the UK we had kids from urban areas, particularly London, who were given the show to run themselves, they made stuff and showed us how to do it. It was very gritty compared to the over-produced stuff today.
Amen… what … Amen… what happened to those days. we, my parents, had this album. I miss those days. When i wasn’t angry, stressed, and remembered how to laugh.
Her voice always … Her voice always makes me think of when I was incredibly young and kids TV was full of hippies, people sitting on the floor with guitars and ‘Puff & stuff’. A whole different world.
This song is 40 … This song is 40 years old now (1969), and Mama Cass died only five years later in 1974. I’m so glad the TV show “Lost” brought her back to us–and in such a brilliant way.
reminds me of the … reminds me of the excellent film “Beautiful Thing” which was shot in Thamesmead in a beautiful summer which makes the concrete shine and they use the music of Mama Cass and this song is the finale.

Great song,
In …
Great song,
In society today, people are far too concerned with what others think, and what others find funny or think.
I’m sure I’ll be alone at the end of time laughing at a puddle, but to me there is nothing important than your own unique identity.
